A 95 year-old Jewish woman, a female Buddha, and the spirits of Ginger’s absent mother and dead brother complicate her attempt to reconcile a traditional past with an American present. TO WALK IN TWO WORLDS: Two cultures: Orthodox Jewish and First Nation Ojibwa. An exploration of Tribalism that loosely parallels the Biblical story of Ruth. An impoverished widow, Naomi, has returned from southern Ontario, Canada, to her home community of Minneapolis, MN. Accompanying her are her daughter-in-law, Cricket, as well as the spirit of Cricket's dead mother (an Ojibwa shaman, and Naomi's long-time friend.) Once back in the Jewish fold of Minneapolis, the women confront traditional strictures. Can they circumvent, yet accommodate their respective Tribal ways, for the sake of the family? THE POWER OF TWO: Two young women in Poland 1943 struggle to overcome their prejudices in order to survive the Nazi occupation... or not. MISS MATTY AND THE MAJA: In order to get back in touch with her creative side, Matty has enrolled in art class, and hired a young male "life model" to pose for her privately... for extra practice.
